Overview
Is an Arm Lift
Right for Me?
An arm lift removes excess skin and soft tissue to create a smoother, more balanced upper arm contour.
Many of my arm lift patients have achieved significant weight loss or have noticed increasing skin laxity with age. While exercise can strengthen the muscles of the upper arms, it cannot tighten excess skin.
Common Concerns
- Loose or hanging skin of the upper arms
- Excess skin or fullness near the underarm
- Bra line fullness or excess skin
- Arms that feel out of proportion to the rest of your body
- Skin irritation or chafing
- Feeling uncomfortable in sleeveless clothing

The Modern
Arm Lift
With an arm lift, the scar is an important part of the decision. For most patients, the improvement in arm contour is well worth the scar.
My goal is to create a smoother, more proportional arm while carefully planning the incision and supporting the scar throughout the healing process. Most scars soften and fade significantly over time, and we have additional treatments available to improve their appearance when needed.

Your Personalized Treatment Plan
Your treatment plan is designed around the amount of excess skin, skin quality, and the areas you'd like to address. Liposuction, Renuvion® skin tightening, and an arm lift can be used alone or combined to create the best possible contour.
Liposuction
Removes excess fat and improves the shape and definition of the upper arms
Liposuction can be performed alone when skin elasticity is good or combined with Renuvion® or an arm lift when additional skin tightening or removal is needed.
Renuvion® can be performed alone or combined with liposuction to improve skin contraction and overall arm contour.
An arm lift can be combined with liposuction to further refine the contour of the arms and surrounding areas.

Arm Lift vs. Extended Arm Lift
The length of the incision depends on the location and extent of excess skin. When loose skin extends beyond the upper arm into the underarm or lateral chest, an Extended Arm Lift can address these areas for a smooth transition between the arm and upper body.
